Dear Mary
By Staff, DearMary.com
The intersection of the political and the personal is epitomized in Mary Cheney, the openly lesbian daughter and campaign manager of Vice President Dick Cheney. Though Mary has worked as a gay activist and served on the board of the gay republican group the Republican Unity Coalition, she has remained silent as her father voices support for a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. Dear Mary is a letter-writing campaign urging the Vice President's daughter to speak out against Bush's plans to further marginalize gay and lesbian Americans. -- Brendan Themes

'How far are you willing to go to save the world?' asked Kristopher Schau, lead singer of the band Cumshots, during a recent concert in Norway. Tommy Ellingsen, 28, and Leona Johansson, 21, members of the environmental organization 'Fuck for Forest' answered the call, climbing on stage and having rowdy sex in full view of the crowd. Through it all, the band played on. -- Jacob Wheeler
